I really enjoyed your article - thanks. I'm totally with you when it comes to Sweden, they really missed a trick with Swingfly. "Me And My Drum" was brilliant.

Well the London2012 bid was inspired by the Labour run administration and government, so the LibDem's were just endorsing what was widely known as a Labour funded and 'designed' project.

As much as I think we need to see young candidates - I think I may just concentrate on my education!

We must remeber though, that it took Labour a while to come on board, after Lib Dems in London had been 'backing the bid' for months...
Good to see you on the Election Address btw, Jon.
Planning to run here next time?? :-)

Good message, Jon! The mind is focussed, the intent is firm. One does not change parachutes AFTER jumping out the airplane and the election is nigh. Gordon Brown is the best and only leader that the Labour Party could have and that is fact, not opinion. It is, as Mandelson stated, the settled will of the Labour Party; and that makes it so.

I am backing a Labour Government preferably one with socialist policies (one lives in hope) . Let quit this personalities rubbish and get back to the things that really matter to people not the media's ad hoc agenda.

Nice blog by the way I might even resurrect mine one day

And end to a decade that will be remembered for wars started y the Labour party. Nothing to be proud of and an enormous waste of life, money and time when the labour Party squandered a wonderful opportunity to reform properly the House Of Lords, the electoral system , parliament and the country.

I haven't studied the Islam4UK but I have seen many articles on them, largely preaching that the United Kingdom should be an Islamic state with Islamic law and they see it as a crusade to achieve this. Freedom of speech is of course important Will, but this expression isn't one of anti-war feeling otherwise they would not be treating the issue in the way they do. People react to the scaremongering from many aspects of the media which see fit to brand all Muslims with the same ilk due to these extremist groups.

The repatriation issue, I kind of touched on in the article, it should be about the families and those of have lost their lives as they travel from the airbase through towards their resting places - just like any funeral etc.

Jon, I took up an issue with this march through Wootton Bassett not because of the idea of it, but because of the way it was advertised on the Islam4UK website.

Alot of the more extreme members of the groups have taken it upon themselves to use some sort of tool that makes websites go down on this particular website, I saw that as an outrageous thing to do. We have the right to free speech in this county and it seems to be that the British public is gaining more and more 'BNP Ideals', should we say, with each 'threat' that they see emerge.

The march, while not exactly orthodox, perhaps should be stopped, but then we should ask ourselves why we make such a parade of death in the first place.
